GAY PRIDE

• Un peu d’histoire

Les premières marches Gay ont débuté en novembre 1970 avec une centaine de personnes défilant à travers les champs de Highbury au nord de Londres.

La Pride a été organisé par de nombreuses organisations mais la première officielle fut conduite par  » UK Gay Pride Rallye » en 1972. Ils ont choisi cette date car elle se rapprochait de l’anniversaire des émeutes de Stonewall.

Le mouvement a commencé par une marche de solidarité et au fil du temps il s’est transformé en carnaval.

• Qu’est ce que la Gay Pride

La Gay Pride est une grande Parade annuelle. C’est un évènement très attendu.

L’objectif est de mettre en valeur la communauté, Gay, Lesbienne, Bisexuel et Transsexuel.

• Lieux et organisation

Si comme moi, vous souhaitez participer à cet évènement. Venez le samedi 27 Juin, à 13 h à Baker Street. L’évènement commence dans le centre de Londres. La Parade défile dans les quartiers connus de Londres comme Oxford Circus, Regent Street, Picadilly Circus, puis elle s’arrête et se disperse à Whitehall.

Tout au long du défilé il y aura trois étapes: la Pride à Trafalgar Square , les scènes de la femme et le Cabaret étape à Soho.

Trafalgar Square sera la principale étape. L’entrée sera de 3£. Vous pourrez vous désaltérer avec les deux bars et de nombreux autres stand seront à votre disposition.

La scène de la femme est la deuxième étape. L’entrée est gratuite. Et vous pourrez voir de nombreux artistes.

En ce qui concerne le Cabaret Etape l’entrée sera également gratuite.

Le dimanche une fois que les festivités touchent à leur fin, vous pourrez participer à l’élection des meilleures contributions de la parade près de Vauxhall.

En effet plusieurs prix sont remis pour les meilleurs groupes qui auront participé à l’évènement. C’est une manière d’encourager les participants de la Parade.

• Pride of Parade: groupe Parade le plus impressionnant, inspirant et engageant
• Meilleur Float Charité / Groupe communautaire
• Meilleur Groupe de Marche de Charité / Groupe communautaire
• Meilleur Groupe corporatif
• Meilleur groupe de marche d’entreprise
• Meilleur groupe sur le thème global « La fierté des héros »

• Quand

Le festival se déroulera le week-end du 27 juin 2015. La Parade commencera aux alentours de 13 heures et se finira vers 16h30.

Le thème de la Parade

Chaque année la Parade porte un thème. Et cette année le thème est  » La fierté des héros ». Ce choix a été fait dans le but de mettre en avant les célébrités faisant partie de cette communauté. Comme par exemple, Alan Turing, Bradley Manning, Nelson Mandela, Freddie Mercury, Marlene Dietrich et bien d’autres encore…

• A few history

The first Gay demonstration started in November 1970 with hundred of people marching through the fields of Highbury in north London.

The Pride was organized by many organizations but the official one was led by « UK Gay Pride Rally » in 1972. They chose this date because it was close to the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots.

The movement began with a solidarity march and over time it has turned into carnival.

• What is Gay Pride

  Gay Pride is a big annual Parade. This is a highly awaited event.

The objective is to enhance the community, Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transsexual.

• Places and organization

  If like me, you want to participate to this event. Come Saturday, June 27, at 1 pm in Baker Street. The event starts in the center of London. The Parade march in famous neighborhoods as Oxford Circus, Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus, then stops and disperses in Whitehall.

Throughout the cycle there will be three stages: Pride in Trafalgar Square, the scene of the woman and Cabaret step in Soho.

Trafalgar Square will be the main stage. Admission will be £ 3. You can quench your thirst with the two bars and many other stand will be available.

The scene of the woman is the second step. Admission is free. And you will see many artists.

As regards the Step Cabaret entry will be also free.

On Sunday, when the festivities will be closed, you can participate at the election of the best contributions of the parade near Vauxhall.

Indeed many awards are handed to the best bands that have participated in the event. It is a way to encourage participants  of the Parade.

When ?

The festival will take place the weekend of June 27, 2015. The parade will start at 1 pm and will end at 4.30 pm.

• The theme of the Parade

Each year the Parade has a theme. This year the theme is « The pride of the heroes. » This choice was made in order to highlight the celebrity part of this community. Such as Alan Turing, Bradley Manning, Nelson Mandela, Freddie Mercury, Marlene Dietrich and many others ..
